Starting Wednesday, March 6, a measure will be applied that aims to expedite the procedures for applicants for an American H-1B work visa.
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released new methods that will allow a series of people to prepare records for the H-1B visa.
The program grants visas that allow temporary employment of foreign workers, providing application positions for practical and theoretical work in specific knowledge for fiscal year 2025. Some of these jobs are in the fields of architecture, engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, social sciences, medicine and health, education, business specialties, accounting, law, theology and the arts.
Below, you will be able to learn about the changes that will be applied to process the American H-1B work visa.
What are the changes to H-1B visas?
This new program for the H-1B visa will have a period between Wednesday, March 6 and Friday, March 22. During this period, potential petitioners and their representatives must use a USCIS online account (myUSCIS) to electronically register each beneficiary in the selection process and pay the US$10 registration fee.
Form I-129 and Form I-907, which are used to file H-1B applications, will also be filed online. Starting April 1, Uscis will begin the online submission of the H-1B request procedures that have been selected.
