Requirements to Apply for a B1 Visa

 

To apply for a B1 visa, it is necessary to present evidence supporting the purpose of your trip, your intention to return to your home country once that purpose is fulfilled, and your financial ability to cover travel expenses.

  • You can demonstrate your intent to return by providing evidence of permanent residence in your home country, current employment, or family or business ties to your home country.
  • To demonstrate your ability to pay for travel, you may provide your bank statement, credit cards, traveler's checks, cash, and prepaid travel and hotel reservations. It is important to note that there is no minimum funding requirement to apply for a visa; the financial assessment is at the discretion of the consular officer.
