After the North American country's measure, dozens of Mexicans went to the Canada embassy to request a response that allows them to travel despite the visa imposition.

However, the only solution that the Canadian government presented for Mexican citizens who had flights scheduled for Travel to Canada, was for them to apply for their visa before the date of their trip and process the eTA again.
To apply for a visitor visa before entering Canada, you will have to make an appointment at the embassy to collect biometric data.
The cost is 100 Canadian dollars (around 1,300 pesos), which will be paid electronically with a debit or credit card, plus 87 Canadian dollars (another 1,100 pesos) for taking fingerprints and other biometric data.

Besides, Air Canada announced a “goodwill” policy for Mexicans who had a flight booked and were affected by the visa imposition by the Canadian government starting this Thursday night.
In a statement, the airline He said that this measure consists of serving each passenger through their telephone centers or through travel agents, to determine their situation and offer them a solution.
