The US Department of Justice has launched the second phase of a portal designed to give asylum seekers greater control over their cases and communicate more effectively with the court.

This portal allows applicants to view information about their hearings, download digital copies of their cases, file documents directly, and receive updates on decisions in their cases.

Although the portal does not replace the need for an attorney, it provides greater visibility and access to crucial information. Immigrants will receive a letter in the mail with instructions to register and access the portal. It is essential that users review their files regularly to avoid missing important dates and avoid deportation.

Access to the website is completely free. For assistance, users can email ecas.techsupport@usdoj.gov or call 1-877-388-3842 for help in Spanish.
