You must then schedule an interview. If the applicant is 13 years old or younger, it is not required; the same is true if the applicant is 80 years old or older. But if the applicant is between 14 and 79, it is mandatory.  

Waiting times for interview appointments vary by location, season and visa category, so it is recommended to apply early. 

After attending the interview, you will have to wait for the confirmation of your application. Generally they inform about the status of the document by e-mail.
