Millions of people enter Finland every year in search of new opportunities, due to its high quality of life, so the Government of that nation offers the right to work without a residence permit to some professionals.

It is an authorization that is automatically given to the workers at the moment of entering the country, with a valid visa or permit, with which they can work for up to 90 days, according to the Finland Immigration Office.

These are the professionals who can work in Finland without a residence permit

Foreigners may work in Finland without a residence permit for 90 continuous days only in the following professions:

  • Interpreter, teacher or specialist.
  • Referee.
  • Artist, coach or professional athlete.
  • Member of a team assisting or supporting a professional artist, coach or athlete.

However, they must have been invited to work for the same period or have signed an employment contract of similar duration and have a valid visa, in this case, Schengen visa or entry permit.

In case the activity performed or the employment contract exceeds 90 days, the right to work will be terminated and you will have to immediately apply for the authorization of stay to continue.
