The measure has been in force since March 20 and applies to request or renew the type B1/B2 visa for children under 13 and a half years of age.

  • In case the applicant is renewing a B1/B2 visa, the previous visa must not have been cancelled, revoked, damaged, lost or stolen.
  • The previous application for a visa was not rejected.
  • Be a citizen or resident of Guatemala.
  • All people applying for a visa with the minor must also meet the same criteria.

Additionally, it is important that the application be accompanied by the following documentation:

  • If you renew your visa, you must send the passport where your previous visa was issued.
  • Form DS-160 confirmation page.
  • Current 51 × 51 mm photograph taken in the last six months (in accordance with the requirements of this website).  Failure to submit a correct photograph will delay the processing of your case.
  • RENAP Birth Certificate, must be recent.
