Beginning May 6, 2024, all Forms I-730, Relative of Refugee/Asylee Petition for Family Reunification (FTJ-R), will be managed by the USCIS International Operations Division. Previously, these forms were processed at the Asylum Research Center, but will be automatically transferred to the new division to improve program efficiency through specialized equipment.
Applicants with pending forms will receive notification by mail about the transfer. It is essential to keep the mailing address associated with the Form I-730 up to date. To update it, see the Special Instructions on the Form I-730 web page.
This change does not modify the place of filing Form I-730. Applicants should continue to submit their petitions to the USCIS Service Center in Texas. The International Operations Division does not accept in-person inquiries or requests. For more information about the filing process, visit the Form I-730 webpage.
